President's Message

The 2020-2022 Administration theme is “Turning for Tomorrow”. This theme is symbolized with a pinwheel. The pinwheel reminds us of the playful spirit of a child and symbolizes a healthy childhood which all children deserve. Club project work will be through Children’s Trust of SC with an emphasis on prevention awareness. Clubs will embrace this theme through their projects, speakers and planting of pinwheel gardens. Pinwheel gardens planted in local businesses, parks and schools helps raise awareness of child abuse prevention. Planting pinwheel gardens shows commitment to healthy happy childhoods and families. As the pinwheel turns, there is a child with a brighter tomorrow.

The administration goals are to increase the GFWC brand awareness, have fun fundraising, and support the organization districts. To support brand awareness clubs can include the club, state and international logos in communications to club members, wear GFWC gear to club projects held in the local community. Starting new fundraising projects can be fun. A few new ways to fundraise can include starting a new contest such as pet photo or door/yard decorating contests and online auctions. To support our organization districts, clubs are asked to attend district conferences, plan district wide projects and share club news with one another.

We embarked this administration in a new way due to COVID-19 restrictions. The business of the organization continued through virtual meetings which were made possible through the work of many Executive Committee members. Our members joined in this new way of meeting with enthusiasm to continue the success of their individual clubs.

The General Federation of SC Clubs are lighting the future for a better tomorrow.

In Federation Spirit,

Kristin Fields

GFWC-SC President

2020-2022
